Mwangi Kiunjuri Wants Rigathi Gachuga To Stop Disrupting William Ruto's Government

Uasin Gishu – Laikipia East Member of Parliament Mwangi Kiunjuri has made serious claims against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

The experienced politician accused the DP of trying to isolate the Mt Kenya area from other countries as political preparations for the 2027 General Elections gather pace.

Speaking during a meeting at the Queen's Garden Hotel in the city EldoretKiunjuri claimed that Gachagua's recent efforts to consolidate support within Mount Kenya are part of a wider plan.

He claimed the deputy president had a plot to divide the government and reduce the influence of President William Ruto in the area with many votes.

“We will oppose the Deputy President's attempts to isolate this area because he is doing it for selfish political gain,” Kiunjuri said in his native language Kikuyu.

The Member of Parliament emphasized that the area will stand with the head of state whether Gachagua supports them or not.

What is Kiunjuri's request to the leaders of Mount Kenya?

The leader of the Service Party gave strong opposition to what he saw as Gachagua's attempts to weaken Mlima's unity Kenya and the central administration.

The former Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Agriculture criticized Gachagua for focusing on regional politics instead of helping the head of state to implement the campaign promises of the Kenya First coalition.

He said that the conference in Eldoret is just the beginning of a series of activities intended to discuss and resolve political issues caused by Gachagua.

“He has focused on the politics of Mt. Kenya instead of helping the president make promises for the Kenya First election,” he said.

The meeting organized by United Democratic Alliance Member of Parliament Joseph Wainaina, was attended by members of parliament Duncan Mathenge of Pain Town, John Kiarie of South Dagoretti and James Githua of Kabete.

Kiunjuri claims government-sponsored protests

As previously reported, Kiunjuri claimed that the government sponsored protests against the finance bill.

Kiunjuri claimed that the recent protests, which saw Kenyan youths storm the parliament and cause extensive damage, were supported by an office linked to the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The Member of Parliament revealed that during the protest on Tuesday, June 25, four politicians from Mount Kenya mobilized 20,000 protesters, including 3,000 from Juja constituency.
