Nairobi – A new study by Mizani Africa has shown that most elected Members of Parliament will not return to power in 2027.
Who is the famous MP of Kenya?
The results of the study released on Wednesday, August 21, show that only 131 members of parliament would be re-elected if the elections were held today.
According to the survey, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, Member of Parliament for Embakasi East Grandfather Owinoand Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba are among the MPs who will be re-elected.
“Only 131 MPs would be re-elected if elections were held today led by Ndindi Nyoro of Kiharu, Patrick Makau of Mavoko, Babu Owino and Gathoni of Muchomba from Githunguri constituency,” The scales said.
The poll shows Nyoro's popularity level at 88.4%, followed by Babu 83.1%, and Wamuchomba 80.7%.
“Ndindi Nyoro leads the list of popular MPs in Kenya 2024 with 88.4% Approval, followed by Patrick Makau 83.1%, Babu Owino scoring 3rd place and Gathoni wa Muchomba with 80.7% and Lilian Gogo taking 4th place with 79.3%,” the study said.
How famous is Peter Salasya?
Member of Parliament Mumias Eastern Peter Salaysa is also among those who will be re-elected after being given an approval rating of 76.9 percent.
The 2024 Parliamentary Approval Rating Survey was conducted immediately after the controversial 2024 Finance Bill.
The popularity of most MPs was bad, especially those who supported it.
The survey, funded by Mizani Soft Africa, drew a random sample of 14,000 respondents in 290 constituencies.
A survey conducted through telephone interviews has a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of +/-3.
