Kenyans have turned to social media to imitate the President's visits William Ruto throughout the country, where he has been launching various projects every time he goes.
For example, this week, the president visited the County Kisiiwhere he launched several projects, including the paving of the 23-kilometer Nyabigena-Nyamarambe road, the construction of the Etago fresh produce market, and the Bomachoge Chache 244 house construction project, among others.
How did Kenyans imitate the launch of William Ruto's project?
Kenyans who seemed excited by the launch of Ruto's project used X (formerly Twitter) to creatively imitate the head of state.
They tied ribbons on various items and cut them with scissors as a sign of officially launching them.
The trend, dubbed #RutoLaunchedIt, had many netizens left laughing at the humorous nature of the launch of the miracle project.
Some of the images used to simulate the launch of the project contained items such as rice, bread, an electric switch and a cup of milk, among others.
For example, @ItsChanzu shared a photo showing four corn cobs neatly tied with ribbon next to a lit stove, with scissors in hand.
In that note, he mentioned that he was about to launch roast corn for dinner.
Another, @iamJudah, posted a photo of a child's potty with white tape on top. The picture also shows a hand holding scissors trying to cut the tape.
He jokingly quoted it as launching a new pit toilet.
Another user posted a photo of a hot shower switch with white tape on it, with a hand seen trying to cut the tape.
