Police officers from Shikhoti arrived at the scene and removed the body to a station in Kakamega, awaiting an autopsy.

Vitalis Mulunga, a neighbour, revealed that Imbugwa's death comes weeks after he allegedly sold his farm.

A few days after selling the farm, the deceased allegedly called his sister and told her that her estranged boyfriend had stolen his money.

The suspect of the Imbugwa family committed suicide because he lost the income from selling the farm to the woman he was living with.

“When we asked the family, they said that he had sold the farm, but he had called his sister saying that he would kill himself because the woman was alive and he had stolen money from her,” Mulunga said.

The family is now waiting for the results of the autopsy to reveal the truth of their relative's death.
