The Paris Olympic Games are fast approaching, with track and field fans eagerly waiting for their favourite stars to descend on the purple track for epic showdowns.
Defending champions Faith Kipyegon, Eliud Kipchoge and Peres Jepchirchir will be heading to Paris will all eyes on the prize as Mary Moraa, Hellen Obiri and Ferdinand Omanyala hope for redemption following their Tokyo Olympic Games exits.
Debutants include youngsters Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Faith Cherotich and Reynold Cheruiyot, all seeking to make a name for themselves at the Olympic Games. Lilian Odira, Koitatoi Kidali, Alexander Mutiso and Sharon Lokedi also line up as debutants, with the main focus being to shine and showcase their class. Track and field action will begin on August 1 and end on August 11.
Koitatoi Kidali insisted that talent without education is not enough as he plans to go back to school after the Olympic Games.
