Nairobi – Kenya has launched last -minute diplomatic efforts to rescue Margaret Nduta, a 37 -year -old woman, facing Vietnam's execution sentence for drug trafficking.

As time is over, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced diplomatic means through the Kenyan embassy in Thailand, and sends the team to Hanoi in an attempt to find compassion.

Nduta's fate is limited if diplomatic efforts are in touch as he can deal with the injection of death, marking the end of a case that has rocked the country.

When was Nduta arrested?

When arrested in 2023 at Ho Chi Minh City Airport, Nduta was found with two kilograms of drugs. He was convicted and punished for the highest death of death.

The decision has since sparked a lot of debate, with the Kenyan government and human rights activists calling for mercy.

Foreign Secretary General Korir Sing'oei told Citizen TV Kenya That the government has not been disappointed about Nduta's life.

Considering that Kenya does not have diplomatic presence in Vietnam, embassy officials in Thailand have been sent to intervene on his behalf.

Sing'oei said that the government's efforts should at least make Nduta stay in his implementation and he hopes to feel sorry for him for a long time.

Vietnam has some of the most strict drug laws in the world, and illegal trafficking between 22 offenses that have the death penalty.
