Pastor Dorcas Gachagua continued to publicly serenade and shower former Deputy President Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua with praise, revealing the secret ingredient behind their undying love.
Having shared Gachagua’s plaudits in Kenya, Pastor Dorcas extended the same message to the United States of America, where she was invited to minister in Seattle.
Speaking on Sunday, March 16, 2025, Pastor Dorcas hailed the former deputy president as a hero and disclosed his soft side that had managed to keep them glued and deeply in love for 36 years of marriage.
Dorcas confessed at a Christian conference in the US that she had never encountered violence in her marriage. Dorcas noted that Gachagua instead uses her hands to pamper her with love.

“Let me tell you why I love that man. We have been married for 36 years, and he has never put his hands on me; he has never beaten me,” Pastor Dorcas said during the Tehilla Worship Conference in the US.
Supports her unconditionally
At the same time, Pastor Dorcas portrayed Gachagua as a fully supportive husband. She told the congregants that the former DP accords her ample time even when she is praying.
She narrated that Gachagua had never abhorred praying in their bedroom, even though sometimes she extended the prayers deep in the night.

“I have never moved from my bed to a closet and go and pray, I pray where he is, and he has never complained. Sometimes I can pray from midnight to almost morning, and he is there,” Pastor Dorcas detailed.
While hailing Gachagua as a hero, Pastor Dorcas vowed to continue celebrating her husband and implored the congregations in the US to continue praying for him amid the changing political atmosphere in the country.
“That guy, watch that space. That is the truthful man, and he is my husband… I love him. Hear it and hear it again; he is a great man. God gave me a hero, and I celebrate him all the time.”

Pastor Dorcas has been by Gachagua’s side since the impeachment motion was tabled until it was approved. She resolved to accompany her husband to various church services and stand by him despite mounting attacks from President William Ruto’s allies.
While at that, she has never shied away from defending Gachagua and reprimanding the Kenya Kwanza government for some of the ills bedeviling the country.
She recently accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of betraying the church and reneging on their campaign promises.
