Social media influencer Ntazola Gloria has stirred online debate after boldly declaring that she would lead an ultra-luxurious lifestyle if she were the daughter of Kenya’s president.

In a viral video shared on Friday, March 14, 2025, on TikTok, Ntazola did not hold back as she expressed her love for the finer things in life, saying that if she were President William Ruto’s daughter, Kenyans would be in utter shock.

Mungu alijua nisikuwe Charlene Ruto, mngeshangaa! Sasa hivi mnacomplain ati Ruto amefanya nini, lakini mimi ningekuwa mtoto wake, mngelia!” she exclaimed, suggesting that her spending habits would have been far more extravagant than Charlene Ruto’s.

The outspoken creator, who went viral after she drove off with a city council officer in 2023, said she would have been jetting off to Beverly Hills to mingle with the rich kids, casually buying Birkin bags, designer shoes, and rocking Ksh1 million wigs without a second thought.

She went on to fiercely defend her love for life’s finest luxuries, saying she is simply drawn to worldly pleasures, and took a swipe at those who claim they have no interest in money or extravagance.

“Mimi napenda mambo za dunia. Pesa ni tamu! Ati nyinyi mnasema ati oh, pesa haikufurahishi—nani hapendi pesa?” she quipped, dismissing the notion that money cannot buy happiness.

Charlene is too humble

Ntazola went on to compare herself with Charlene Ruto, calling the First Daughter too humble in contrast to what she would have been.

She fantasised about having an entourage, presidential security, and a generous allowance, vowing that Kenyans would not know peace if she had been born into State House.

“Ningekuwa na escort na president’s daughter’s allowance. Kweli, shukuruni Charlene hata hamsemi asanti! Mimi ningewaonyesha mambo!” she stated, leaving netizens in stitches.

She added that even if she was not born into a presidential family, Kenyans should be prepared for the day she marries one.

According to her, the entire country would be left in shock, as she would be known for having an enviable collection of designer bags from the world’s most prestigious brands, and being humble would be the last thing on her mind.

“Hata si lazima baba yangu. Mimi nikuwe bibi ya president siku tu moja, mtashangaa! Siwezi kuwa humble. I will have a collection of bags and shoes, nitaishi maisha ingine ya kidunia—ya vitu tamutamu!”

Mixed reactions

Her comments immediately ignited widespread debate, with netizens reacting with a mix of amusement, disbelief, and critique.

While some found her statements hilarious and admired her honesty, others felt that she was out of touch with reality.

A few even drew comparisons between her hypothetical lifestyle and Charlene Ruto’s more reserved public image.

Here are some of the reactions:

Brian Mwangi: “At least she’s honest. Some of us would do the same if given the chance!”

Cynthia Wanjiru: “Mungu alijua kweli... imagine this level of spending!”

Kevin Ochieng: “Heri Charlene, at least she’s using her platform for good.”

Mercy Nduta: “Wacha tujaribu. Baba Gloria 2027!”

Felix Kiprono: “This is why God gives money to certain people and not others.”
