1. The Star
A new Budget Regulator (COB) report Margaret Nyakang'o revealed that the government plans to use KSh 7.81 billion to repair the Nairobi palace and the small palace across the country.
The report showed that the government had already spent approximately KSh 2.08 billion.
Nyakang'o revealed to the public on Thursday in his recent report on national government spending for the first half of the 2024/2025 financial year.
The Ruto administration has so far spent KSh 775.74 million in the renovation of the Nairobi palace, attracting criticism by destroying its architecture.
In the small palace of Eldoret (State Lodge), the Government has spent KSh 47.1 million out of the KSh 926.6 million budget.

The small Sagana White House in Nyeri will eat KSh 388.76 million, with KSh 106.91 million already spent.
At the Mombasa small palace, KSh 1.18 billion was allocated for the renovation of the courtyard and the main house.
Kakamega's small palace, Kisumu Kisii will cost KSh 265.26 million, KSh 245.14 million and KSh 795.75 million respectively.

Samuel Musembi, one of the main suspects in the murder of British businessman, Scott Campbell, has died.
Musembi died on Wednesday, March 12, at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi.
The suspect was charged with driving a Campbell body from Pipeline Street to Makongo Forest in Makueni County.
Musembi had sought asylum in his friend's house in Dandora, Nairobi. His friend left him at his house on Tuesday, March 11, but when he returned, he found it locked from the inside.
He broke the door to come in and find him lying in bed with foam coming out of his mouth and blood coming out of his neck.
The chief police officer revealed that the suspect was declared dead while receiving treatment.

Agriculture Minister Mutahi Kagwe said the permanent duration of the sulphate of ammonia fertilizer, which was released to the NCPB and Fine Tech Edge Ltd's warehouse between December 27, 2024 and January 6, 2025, ended on February 28, 2025.
According to a letter signed by Kagwe, the NCPB management suspended its sale on February 27, 2025.
