The athlete was at a church service when he narrated how the Olympic defeat in 2024 left him disappointed and embarrassed despite the vision that he would win his race.
He finished in eighth place in the distance in the third semi-finals leaving Kenyans wondering if he was losing his surprise.
How Ferdinand Omanyala considered the win in the Olympics
In the video shared on the Tiktok And Fred Gichuki, Omanyala remembered his relationship with God changed after the win.
“Last year, I got into the Olympics as the second fastest player in the world and we had a lot of assurance from God, and we were getting many Bible verses even through our children.
According to Omanyala, they returned to their home where their families, managers and his physical therapy specialist wondered what went wrong.
“I cursed God that day. I told God if you didn't want me to do this so stop.
How God talked to Omanyala
Omanyala revealed that he had written a Bible line on his shoes so that when he overcame people they would know that it was all by the grace of God.
He also claimed he received an email from God and read his section which said that sometimes a person does not understand or love his will and that whatever he faces is not the end of his journey.
“At 4am God sent me an email, even my team told it, we were meeting that day and told God he had sent me an email,” he added.
The athlete also said he was not sure when he would win the Olympics but hoped that it would be fulfilled at the right time for God.
