Citizen television journalist Jeff Koinange for the first time in Kenya's local food culture.

Having raised in a rich neighborhood, Jeff has often been unaware of the daily experience of the ordinary Kenyan.

However, his colleagues at the 96 FM channel, led by fellow presenter Patrick Igunza, decided it was his time to get a diet of the Balal (Kibanda restaurant).
Jeff was introduced to the famous 'anti-theft' meat, a plate decorated with thin pieces of meat.
The name comes from the assumption that the pieces are so small that they cannot be stolen.
The incident was captured in a video that spread fast online, showing Jeff taking the plate carefully while using a fork. Enjoyed by the Anti-Theft concept, he said:

While his colleagues burst into laughter, he agreed with a header while enjoying the taste and saying:

Prior to the anti-theft moment, fellow Citizen TV journalist Olive Burrows asked Jeff during a direct news session.
He wanted to know if he had ever eaten the bowels, thus introducing a light conversation that pleased the audience.
Jeff, seemingly surprised by the question, replied curiously, asking why he should eat such a meal.
