Unconfirmed videos viewed by TUKO.co.ke It seemed to show Natembeya was quickly removed from the scene, thus provoking allegations that he had been dismissed by the group.

The incident occurred while Natembeya addressing residents at the home of the late MP in Kakamega County.

A group of youths that appeared to be linked to the presidential support William Rutoit started singing songs to support the President and accused Natembeya of opposed the government.

As the situation worsened, the aggressive young men approached the governor as they approached him and demanded that he stop talking.

The situation became increasingly fragile, as the crowd whispered to him and made it clear that he did not want him to continue his speech.

The governor's security forces intervened immediately and chased him in his car to avoid further confrontation.

The crowd continued to laugh and throw things as I walked with his team quickly from the scene.

What did Natembeya say about the mess at the Injendi funeral?

Responding to the incident, which was widely circulated on social networks, Natembeya used his Facebook account on Monday, March 3, denying the statement claiming he was fired.

He completely opposed the allegations, saying, “No one can drive me out of my own cage. Stop these desperate propaganda.”

His derogatory message showed that he believed the story spread on social networks was a distortion of the events that had occurred, and he had a strong belief that he could not be intimidated in his own city.

Meanwhile, Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, who was also present at the funeral, called on stability and called on politicians and all residents to maintain respect and dignity during the process.

He reminded the mourners that the late Injendi was a peaceful man in charge of unity, and his funeral should reflect those values.

Barasa urged mourners to show calm and avoid turning the event into a political battlefield.

The funeral will be held in Kakamega

Funerals in the western region are increasingly facing political tension. On February 8, chaos broke out in Matungu, Kakamega County, during the funeral of retired chief Agostino Odongo, political confrontation was witnessed.
