Gachagua said that he would know his position about Raila as soon as the former prime minister announced his political direction.
Speaking to the rope media on Wednesday, February 26, Gachagua said that if Raila Odinga He will decide to partner with Ruto before the 2027 elections, he will be destroying his political legacy for many years.
He said that Raila has the right to make his political decisions, and no one can stop him from doing so.
“We cannot understand Raila Odinga. If he decides to undermine his years of legacy in support of President William Ruto, that is his right. We have no power to stop him,” Said Gachagua.
The former deputy president said he had no problem with Raila to cooperate with Ruto, insisting that it would not give him any benefit.
He explained that Raila's votes were largely attributed to his cooperation with the Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyokawhich he would lose if he decided to work with Ruto.
In addition, Gachagua said that other areas that gave Raila the previous support would withdraw, which would have made him useless for Ruto.
