The eight-time Olympic champion revealed that the recognition remains the highlight of his life since Bob Marley is undoubtedly one of the greatest reggae artists of all time.

Usain Bolt added that the recognition is proof of the effort he has put into producing music, and once that is recognised, he continues to work hard to put Jamaica on the world map.

“That’s one of the biggest deals for me…I understand being listed with the likes of Bob Marley is quite an achievement,” Usain Bolt said on the Meet the Mitchells podcast.

“When I’m on the decks playing music, everyone sings along and that shows the kind of impact we have. Being compared to Bob Marley shows how much work I have put in and it actually matters that I have accomplished a lot.

Usain Bolt has finally explained his biggest career regret after retiring in 2017.

“I have received mind-blowing support from the country and I’m living the dream. It’s a big thing, man trust me.”

He shares a strong bond with his manager and co-producer, Nugent ‘NJ’ Walker, with whom he grew up and spent much of his childhood.

Usain Bolt explained that they even studied together and having built that boon when they were young has enabled them to work together and understand each other.

The 11-time world champion explained that they went on to pursue their different interests and reunited when it felt right. Usain Bolt noted that his manager would always check up on him even if they were worlds apart.

“NJ and I grew up together and we even went to the same primary school. Our friendship started a long time ago and when we started, NJ was not that good and with that relationship, we managed to learn about our strengths and weaknesses,” Usain Bolt revealed.

“We went to high school together and our relationship continued and then I went to run and he continued with his career. He would always check up on me and consult me for stuff. He is now a certified teacher.”
