Deputy President Kithure Kindiki He has strongly criticized his predecessor, Rigathi Gachagua, referring to him as “a sponsor of ethnicity and ethnic politics.”

This is in the midst of ongoing tensions about the allegations of the existence of a conspiracy to be removed from the office by the Chief Justice Martha Koome In power.

In a statement he posted on his official X account on Monday, February 24, Kindiki emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the court process, saying that judicial issues should not be included in politics or ethnicity.

“The removal of the judge from office is a constitutional issue and not a political or tribal matter,” He wrote.

He called on critics and judges advocates to use legal arguments instead of turning this serious legal debate into a tribal issue.

“The critics and defenders of the judges should use constitutional and legal arguments rather than humiliating this important debate by incorporating ethnicity into the debate,” Kindiki added.

In what appeared to be direct accusations against the Guacha's methods of seeking regional support, Kindiki questioned the fate of other non -“ethnic guards.”

“Who will defend judges who are probably innocent but have no ethnic donors?” Kindiki asked.

The debate began after Gachagua's claim on Sunday, February 23, during a church service in Nyeri County.
