‘I don’t preach anything I don’t do’– Eliud Kipchoge challenges senior athletes

Eliud Kipchoge emphasises the importance of senior athletes leading by example, staying true to their teachings, and maintaining integrity in the sport.

Eliud Kipchoge has urged senior athletes to implement what they teach the youngsters if they want to maintain a great legacy in the sport.

The four-time London Marathon defended himself, noting that he has never advised an upcoming athlete to take a route he has not.

H explained that when it comes to finances and maintaining a clean sport, he has always been at the forefront and he continues to be a source of inspiration to the youngsters who clearly see how hard he works.

Eliud Kipchoge has always been vocal about his training routines and has also attached photos and videos on his social media handles. He is also a huge champion of education and has a library.

Kipchoge believes that education is very essential for an athlete and explained that they should never miss out on important conferences to teach them about financial literacy and other important aspects of being elite athletes.

“As senior athletes, we are doing what we are preaching, we are doing what we are saying and we are doing that together to see that you are really working hard,” Eliud Kipchoge said in a video shared by Daily Sport.

“I don’t say anything which I don’t do and I don’t preach anything I don’t do. As far as hard work is concerned, they are seeing what I’m doing.

“They see what we are doing as a team, we inject them with life values, and life morals and we believe that there will be better people.”
