Nike has announced the release date of the new super shoes that Eliud Kipchoge might be wearing at the London Marathon, noting that they go for about Ksh 34,000.
The super shoes that Eliud Kipchoge is most likely to wear at the 2025 London Marathon will be released throughout the spring season and might even be worn during the Tokyo Marathon on Sunday, March 2.
The London Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, April 27 and Eliud Kipchoge, hunting for his fifth title, might also make history with the shoe.
He has been on the frontline of testing the super shoes that have propelled him to multiple victories and world records and the Nike VaporFly 4 might not be any different. The late Kelvin Kiptum, who was also starting his marathon dominance, used Nike’s super shoes as a stepping stone.

The super shoe is the fourth instalment of Nike’s ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% series and it will be retailing for about Ksh 34,000 ($260).
The original VaporFly was developed and launched in 2010 and it laid a positive groundwork for the subsequent shoes that have helped athletes achieve super milestones.
The VaporFly 4 continues Nike’s legacy and it has certain improvements from the previous show, the VaporFly 3. This new edition is about 10 grams lighter and has a less extended heel.
