Diamond Platnumz takes legal action against ex-partner

Tanzanian musician Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack widely known as Diamond Planumz has taken legal action against his ex-partner for what he calls blackmail and false accusations.
Taking to his Instagram account on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Diamond spoke out about a video clip circulated online involving him and his ex-partner adding that the video was shared to blackmail him and make money by exploiting his name and personal life.
According to the artiste, the viral clip shared contains misleading and false messages and is from the past adding that the clip, which was first shared back in 2023 is over two years old.
In addition, the WCB CEO said the situation has taken a troubling turn after his ex-partner chose to resurface the old clip with false narratives that could harm his reputation adding that he ended his relationship with the woman in the clip nearly two years ago.
He emphasized that he had already been transparent with his current partner about the past and that they had since forgiven each other adding that they had decided to move forward and begin a new chapter in their lives together, leaving the past behind.
“Nimeona kuna clip zinasambazwa mtandaoni zinazonihusu…clip hizo ni za zamani, mwaka 2023, na zina zaidi ya miaka miwili nyuma…na mwanamke huyo pia niliachana nae takriban miaka miwili sasa… lakini pia nilimueleza mwenzangu niliye nae na tukasameheana na kuanza maisha mapya….(I have seen that some clips are being circulated online that concern me. These clips are old, from the year 2023, and they are more than two years old. I also ended my relationship with that woman nearly two years ago. However, I had already informed my current partner, and we forgave each other and started a new life together),” Diamond’s statement reads in part.
Legal actions
Confirming that the matter has been reported to the authorities, and legal action is now being pursued to address the extortion attempt, the Bongo flava star stated that the ex-lover is using the clip to ruin his reputation.
