According to the opposition leader who spoke openly, the joy of some Kenyans comes from fear and not hate.
During the Senate session on Wednesday, February 19, Onyonka argued that Kenya was not politically stable, and many people view Raila as a key pillar in maintaining equality.
According to him, the spreading excitement of his fall was not necessary for his failure but a sign of great concern about the future of the country without his presence if he won.
“We have a country where we often look for options and solutions apart from the reality of what we are facing. I have been with my colleagues saying there were people celebrating that Raila really failed.”
“Yes, they celebrated because they are afraid. They want Raila to come back because the country seems to be restless and is not ready to move forward. That's where we are,” Onyonka said.
How should the AUC campaign be organized?
Onyonka, who previously served as a minister in the former presidential administration Mwai Kibakihe criticized how Raila's AUC chair campaign was run.

He claimed that the selection of high -profile international status requires strategic diplomacy, rather than a public festival that dominated Raila's campaign.
“This process because of the training I received as a minister in President Kibaki's government is a process that is quietly addressed, effectively and successfully. According to him, Kenya failed to address the campaign by making it a local political competition in African countries rather than focusing on diplomatic harmony in all African countries.

“And what have we done yet? We have put this whole area as if it were about Raila who wanted to be something and William Ruto who wants to live. Certainly if so if Raila wanted the job and felt he would lose and return here to join President William Ruto's government and therefore Kenya would be strong. My position is very easy as long as the project continues to do things in a way that will not make them, ”Onyonka warned.
