FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia are set to face National Division Two side KSG Ogopa in the preliminary round of the FKF Cup on Sunday at Dandora Stadium.
While Gor Mahia enter the match as overwhelming favorites, KSG Ogopa have made it clear that they intend to challenge the FKFPL giants and prove their mettle.
Speaking to Pulse Sports, KSG Ogopa Team Manager Peter Mutwiri expressed confidence ahead of the fixture.

On Sunday, we are going to show Kenyans that we are not just underdogs but a team with ambitions to climb the Kenyan football pyramid,” Mutwiri stated in a telephone interview.

Under his guidance, the team has been performing exceptionally well in the Division Two Eastern Zone League, where they currently top the standings with 17 points from nine games (five wins, two draws, and two losses).
Mutwiri praised the team’s setup and coach, saying, “We have a very good structure under coach Kassim Junior and quality players who have played in Division One, NSL, and the Premier League. The talent is there, and the coach understands the players. His father-figure approach works well with the team, and we will definitely look to hurt them.”
KSG have strengthened their squad during the January transfer window, notably bringing back former player Rooney Kola.
