The agreement was reached during a meeting held at the White House, attended by senior government officials including Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen, and Senate leader Aaron Cheruiyot.

Raila's close allies, minority leader of Senate Steward Madzayo, minority leader Junet Mohamed and minority cadre Millie Odhiambo attended the meeting where Ruto agreed to allow a resolution to lead some of the key committees of Parliament.

The new agreement will enable the ODM leader's closest partners to take over the leadership of key committees under the chairmanship of the deputy president of the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua among those who lost their lives.

How will the new agreement between Ruto and Raila affect Moses Wetang'ula?

Some of the committees that Ruto He has allowed the resolution to be chairman including budget and allocation, health, business and industry, labor and regional compatibility.

The Kiharu MP will be the biggest victim of the new change, considering he was chairman of the powerful budget and expenditure committee.

Gacita's closest ally, David Gakuya, will lose the leadership of the Commerce and Industry Committee, while Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia is removed from the regional compatibility committee.

The Raila team will also be allowed to nominate five chairs. to the committees they choose.

In exchange, the resolution agreed to suspend their plans to submit a motion to sue Wetang'ula.

Will William Ruto give Raila a job in government?

Belgut MP Nelson Koech suggested that Ruto could soon appoint Raila in the government.

Koech said the former prime minister should be rewarded after he failed in the race for the chairman of the African Union commission.
