Nairobi: A relative falls into court and charges after accusing the police of torturing him

Alex Mwanzia Mutua was charged with?

Alex Mwanzia Mutua filed a court after allegedly being beaten by police officers at the Railways police station during his arrest.

Mutua fell to the ground and fired in court on Monday, February 17, when he was brought before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi to be heard in his case.

A reporter of TUKO.co.ke He pointed out that Mutua was facing charges of preventing four police officers from arresting him.

After denouncing the two charges, Mwanzi resigned shortly before the judge announced the terms of the bail.

Following the incident the judge ordered Mutua to be taken to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.

More Judge Shitubi ordered that when the suspect was released, be released on free bail.

Advocate Danstan Omariwho was in court to represent him said he paid for his treatment by giving KSh 5,000.

Mutua told Omari that he had kidney problems and had been attending a monthly hospital examination.

However, he claimed that he could not pay last month's inspection so skipping the session.
