Three-time Olympic gold medalist Faith Kipyegon is gearing up for an action-packed 2025 campaign, drawing inspiration from a stellar 2024 that saw her secure gold in the women’s 1500m at the Paris Olympics and a silver in the 10,000m.
Kipyegon’s performance in Paris was nothing short of remarkable, with her gold in the 1500m final setting a new Olympic record of 3:51.29.
It was a feat that added to her growing list of career achievements, showcasing the Kenyan middle-distance runner’s dominance on the world stage.
Reflecting on the success of the previous season, Kipyegon is excited to channel the energy from Paris into her upcoming performances.
“Although my eyes are set on this year, I can’t help but remember just how special Paris was,” she told Team Kenya Olympics.
“I felt the love from back home, and this has only fueled me as I begin my season.”
