New look: Nyashinski shaves off his dreadlocks
Kenyan rapper and songwriter Nyamari Ongegu popularly known as Nyashinski has unveiled his new look after shaving off his signature dreadlocks.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Friday, February 14, 2025, the Perfect Design hitmaker posted a photo of himself with an afro revealing the beginning of a new journey without his dreaded hair.
In addition, the singer pointed out that change is inevitable. However, the rapper has not yet disclosed the reason behind his new look.
“And to imagine that at some point, even this version of you will be the old you. God willing,” he posted.
Nyashinski has been known for his signature dreadlocks look. Over the years, he has maintained long, well-kept locks that complement his artistic and laid-back style.
His dreadlocks have become a part of his brand, adding to his cool and unique image in the music industry.

In 2019, the gospel musician Ben Cyco shaved off his hair in support of his sister Joy, after she was diagnosed with Cancer.
