Ferdinand Waititu was jailed for 12 years in the case of KSh 588m corruption case

Nairobi – former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu He has been pushed to jail 12 years after being found guilty in a case of corruption of millions of dollars.

However, he can avoid the penalty if he pays a fine of KSh 53.5 million.

His Waititu wife, Susan Wangari, was sentenced to one year in prison with a fine of KSh 500,000 fine.

The couple, brought before the Chief Magistrate Thomas Nzioki of the Mountains Anti -Corruption Court, were found guilty of abuse of the office, a conflict of interest, and to bid through fraud.
