Newspapers: New reports emerge in connection with the killing of Gibson Kinyua in the KNH ward

On Monday, February 10, national newspapers reported in a wide range of Gibson Kinyua's controversial killings, who was found dead in a ward at Kenyatta National Hospital.

The post reported on Gibson Kinyua's confusing death, a patient found killed in a ward at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

A police report confirmed that the Kinyua body was found on Friday, February 7 at 12am during a regular ward inspection. A blood -filled knife was later found on the roof, suspected of being a murder weapon.

Earlier reports claimed that the killer was probably a guest who penetrated the hospital, to kill the patient and disappear.

However, KNH Acting Director General, William Sigilai, denied allegations that the suspect was an outside person.

Sigilai noted that at present there was no evidence to indicate that an outsider entered the ward to carry out the killings, but confirmed that the crime was committed with a knife, which is thought to be a murder weapon, was found.

“I would like to say that at this time we have no evidence that anyone came in and carried out this crime. However, we know for sure that the patient was killed in the ward. We have handed over this case to the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI),” Said Sigilai.

Now detectives are trying to determine how the killer entered the ward without being trapped in CCTV and how the knife found himself on the roof.

The threshold in the investigation is that hospital CCTV cameras did not work during the event.

Wiper party leader, Kalonzo Musyokahe has accused President William Ruto of placing voting strategies in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on Sunday, February 9, at the opening of the Wiper Kilifi party offices, Kalonzo claimed that the government of Ruto It uses the registration process of IDs as a method for controlling voter registration in certain areas towards the next election.

In addition, he explained that the national leader plans to register foreign nationals as voters to secure an early victory in 2027.

Kalonzo claimed that the government's motivation to issue identity in specific areas was not an interesting step but a strategy to affect the electoral process for the benefit of Ruto.

According to the Wiper leader, the approach is aimed at increasing the number of voters in some areas while other areas are left behind.

“We must take them home as early as possible, and there will be no possibility of voting theft. They think they can register voters here and there and provide National IDs to help them in their plot,” Said Kalonzo.
