Siaya – The funeral of Molo activist Richard Otieno was abruptly interrupted in his hometown after officials from Siaya and Nakuru counties clashed for the opportunity to address it.

The inconvenience forced the family to flee to the grave, where Otieno was buried, even with a call for justice dominating the funeral service.

Why did the mess broke out at Otieno's funeral

Tension erupted when Suma MP (MCA) Sylvester Madialo concluded his speech but failed to hand over the microphone to Nakuru County officials how the protocol had ordered.

This sparked a borne, with MCAS of Nakuru and their delegation vigorously claiming their right to address the mourners.

In a controversial situation witnessed by all people, the members of the Nakuru delegates grabbed the microphone, causing a riot that left mourners and surprises.

“Richard was taken from us when he was already gone, and now you rob us of the microphone – why? For the people here, we say: We stopped with Richard alive, and even now he left, but you come here to deprive us of the microphone,” He shouted a woman from Nakuru who looked confused, his heavy voice of emotion.

MCA Elburgon Njuguna Mwaura, outraged and thought to be a minority, criticized the move, saying it was a deliberate effort to silence Nakuru leaders.

“All that fraud was arranged for the people of Nakuru to keep quiet, but we must say. It was a plot of two people, and we will not accept it,” He announced.

As the controversy escalated, the family and the church moved Otieno's body quickly to its place to rest, and to abandon the official plan.

Call of justice rulers otieno funeral

The sudden conclusion of the funeral left officials addressing only a small part of the remaining mourners.

“We claim justice to Richard. Those who planned and committed the killings should all be in jail,” Said Bernard Lang'at, MCA of Mariashoni, in his solid voice and resolution.

Otieno, a prominent activist in Molo, was killed three weeks ago, a crime that brought shocks across the country.

Although five suspects have been arrested in connection with his death, families and mourners insist that justice is not available.

Roselinda Maitha, the family's attorney, did not complain about her while addressing, demanding an investigation into the murder.

“We are tired of seeing every day how many boys will die in this government. We voted for this government but you do not respect our constitutional rights,” He complained.

In another story, news of the death of activist Otieno angered residents, who appeared on the road to demand further action from the authorities.

Some residents camped at Elburgon police station, demanding justice for the motivated community.
