Gor Mahia leadership has urged fans to focus on Sinisa Mihic’s performance in charge of the team rather than the recruitment process.
Gor Mahia’s leadership has defended the appointment of Sinisa Mihic as the club’s new head coach, emphasising that the Croatian deserves time to deliver rather than scrutiny over his recruitment.
Mihic, whose last managerial role was as an assistant at Kuwait’s Al-Salmiya SC in 2022, steps into a high-pressure role tasked with steering K’Ogalo to a successful title defense.
The Croat replaces Brazilian Leo Neiva, who was dismissed in November 2024 after a series of poor results.
Newly appointed Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic has hit the ground running ahead of first game in charge.
His assistant, Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno, took over on an interim basis but now serves as Mihic’s right-hand man.
Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier revealed that Mihic has been handed a six-month contract, with his performance determining his future at the club.
“Neiva lost the dressing room, and we have told Mihic all that transpired and assured him of our support. The six-month performance will inform our next move,” Rachier said via Nation.

Gor Mahia official Dolphina Odhiambo insists the money wired by Sindiga Big Stars last November for the failed transfer of Ronney Onyango did not go through her office.
Echoing similar sentiments, club CEO Raymond Oruo dismissed concerns over Mihic’s recruitment, urging critics to shift focus to his tenure’s outcome.
“He is a qualified coach, and we picked him among 40 applicants for the job. How he landed this role is now water under the bridge. What matters is what he does in these six months,” said Oruo.
Mihic’s first challenge comes against Mathare United at Dandora Stadium as he seeks to close the gap on FKF Premier League joint leaders Kenya Police and Tusker, who face off in a crucial match on the same day.
