Sirens blazing! Ryan Ogam plots ‘football heist’ against Police FC – Can they stop him?

Tusker FC striker Ryan Ogam has put Police on notice ahead of the do-or-die FKFPL potential title-decider encounter.

Tusker FC prolific striker Ryan Ogam has warned title-chasing Police FC to brace themselves for one of the toughest matches of the season.

The two sides clash in the top of the table encounter on Saturday at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Otieno, whose contract was extended by six months in December, is set to leave Gor Mahia when his deal expires at the end of the season.

Police lead the 18-team league by superior goal difference as both sides boast of 37 points with the match having a lot of significance for both teams as far as the race for the 2024-25 FKFPL season title is concerned.

Ogam, the league top scorer with 15 goals after a stellar debut in the top-tier, is keen to maintain his hot streak in front of the goal.

“This is a very important match for us , and we need to approach it like any other game.there is positive energy in the squad , and we trust God for a win,” Ogam told Citizen Digital.

Gor Mahia has released several players in a massive overhaul of the squad.

The hawk-eyed striker, whose goal-target for the season is atleast 25 strikes, added: “There is no shortcut in football. Hard work and motivation from the coach and teammates have really helped me.”

Tusker threw away the golden chance to regain their lead at the top of the table last weekend after allowing KCB to salvage a point in 1-1 draw half-hearted performance. Police also failed to shoot down Sofapaka, settling for the same result against the 2009 champions.

In the reverse fixture, the two sides shared spoils in a 1-1 draw on September 29 but the brewers boast of a better head-to-head record.

Meanwhile, Tusker coach Charles Okere admitted that the match will be an acid test for his charges, challenging the players to stick to their plan.

“Every game is tough, and playing against Kenya Police FC is no different. We need to remain calm, stick to our plan, and handle the pressure well.”

A win for either team will see them open a three-point gap at the top.
