The online tug-of-war between Kennedy Rapudo, husband to socialite Amber Ray, and businessman Jimal Roho Safi has hit new heights, with both men exchanging blows.
The saga was ignited following Rapudo’s remarks during an interview with Dr Ofweneke, where he attributed the ongoing chaos between Jimal’s ex-wives, Amira and Amber Ray, to Jimal’s lack of effective leadership in managing his relationships.
Taking to his Instagram on the evening of Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Rapudo expressed his frustration, highlighting that despite enduring years of indirect criticism from Jimal, it took only one comment to trigger Jimal into a defensive outburst.
The businessman criticized Jimal, accusing him of constantly seeking validation through public displays with celebrities and politicians, suggesting that such behaviour reflects deeper insecurity rather than genuine social influence.
“After three years of unreciprocated shade, a single comment has him reaching for every word in the dictionary to defend his fragile ego The true idleness, however, is displayed in his relentless quest for selfies with local celebrities and politicians, as if their acknowledgement could validate his existence,” Rapudo wrote on his Instagram.
Jimal had earlier dismissed Rapudo’s comments by questioning his credibility and insinuating that engaging with Rapudo was a waste of time.
He implied that real men do not concern themselves with discussing other men, attempting to undermine Rapudo’s character by labelling him as irrelevant and unworthy of serious attention. Jimal also defended his reputation, urging Rapudo to review his accomplishments as proof of his integrity and success.
“You think you are a better man, dude better men don’t talk about other men. It just shows how idle you are. It’s a waste of time for me to answer a grifter individual, check my records dude it speaks for itself,” Jimal had earlier stated.

The root of the feud dates back to Rapudo’s appearance on Dr Ofweneke’s show, where he criticized Jimal’s approach to managing his personal life.
Rapudo noted that the long-standing drama between Amira and Amber Ray was not solely the fault of the women involved but stemmed from Jimal’s failure to fulfil his role as a responsible leader within his relationships.
He stressed that a man should take charge and maintain harmony in his household, regardless of cultural or religious allowances for polygamy.
“Whatever happened at that time, I can’t blame Amira or Amber Ray, there was a man involved. If you are a man you are entrusted to be a leader. Whether you are a Muslim or not, you are allowed to marry 4 or 10 wives. You need to take that leadership role. If there is a problem you bring your house in order,” Rapudo said in the interview.

Rapudo also defended his wife against the negative public perception she had faced in the past. He argued that her controversial reputation was largely influenced by the toxic environments and unstable relationships she had been part of before they met.
According to Rapudo, his presence in her life brought much-needed stability, which has improved her public image and personal well-being.
He further elaborated that the key to a fulfilling relationship lies in finding the right partner. Rapudo believes that Amber Ray’s past issues were a result of being surrounded by the wrong people who brought out unfavourable aspects of her character.
“Before I met Amber Ray there was always drama concerning her right? But do you see that anymore? She was always being trolled for the wrong reasons,” he stated.
Since their union, he claims that Amber has flourished into a more grounded and positive individual, thanks to the love and support he provides.
“What matters is to meet the right person. People should be very picky about who they want to settle down with. She was just in a bad company which brought a very bad side of her. All she needed was a man who loves her for who she is for her to settle and be the person she is at the moment,” he added.
