Olympic champion Sha’Carri Richardson is one of the three luminaries with Texas connections tapped for hosting duties at the Met Gala.

The Met Gala, otherwise known as the Super Bowl of fashion, unveiled its star-studded host committee on Tuesday.

World 100m champion, Richardson, will handle the hosting duties alongside multiple Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles and musician Andre 3000.

The glitzy annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute will take place on May 5.

In the spirit of the exhibit, the Metropolitan Museum announced Tuesday the gala’s dress code, “Tailored for You.”

It’s “a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and tailoring that can be broadly interpreted from suiting to specific silhouettes, fabrics and accessories,” according to a video posted to the museum’s Instagram.

according to The Associated Press, Richardson, a Dallas native, said: “Our style isn’t just what we wear — it’s how we move, how we own our space, how we tell our story without saying a word.”

On Tuesday, Biles, who grew up in Spring, shared a Vogue magazine post about the committee to her Instagram story with the caption: “See you at the Met Gala.”

Richardson won gold after anchoring the 4×100-meter relay with teammates Gabby Thomas, Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry while Biles took home three gold medals and one silver in the gymnastics competition.
