Nigeria – Approximately 30 passengers have been confirmed following a road accident in Ondo, Nigeria.
How did a bus accident in Nigeria happen?
The Daily Post Nigeria It reported that the accident occurred after two public transport buses caught fire in the ONIPETESI, the Ore-Lagos Expressway highway.
Preliminary reports indicate that 32 people were involved in the crash, of which 28 were severely destroyed and unknown, while two were rescued with injuries dying before being taken to hospital.
The other two, who miraculously survived, were receiving treatment.
The Commander of the State of the Road Safety Organization (FRSC), Samuel Ibitoye, confirmed the number of lives, associated with the accident with high speed and drivers.
He revealed that preliminary investigations showed that one bus had entered the wrong side of the road, causing the face -to -face conflict.
Ibitoye promised that a thorough investigation would be conducted to determine the details of the incident.
The FRSC commander emphasized the need for drivers to ensure their vehicles are in good condition and be careful on the road, warning against dangerous operations.
In his sincere request, Ibitoye urged drivers and passengers to put security forward.
“Thirty people lost their lives in the crash. Twenty -eight people were badly destroyed, while two were rescued on their way to the hospital,” Ibitoye said.

Eyewitnesses reported that both cars were on fire immediately after the collision, and buried passengers in a massive fire.
“We were close to the area when we heard a huge explosion. When we arrived at the scene, we saw two collided cars already burning, with some people in it trying to escape.

“Shortly thereafter, FRSC officials arrived at the scene and rushed two rescuers to the hospital. However, we later heard that they were also dead,” One witness said.
