Uasin Gishu – suspected of hooligans have interrupted a fundraising event organized by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
Who was in contact with Oscar Sudi in Moi's Bridge?
On Sunday, February 2, Sudi organized a syllabus to help the victims of fire that consumed property in Moi's Bridge, Uasin Gishu County.
However, the event turned out to be a fierce controversy between Kapseret MP, Oscar Sudi, and his Soy counterpart, David Kiplagat.
Troubles began after Kiplagat arrived with a large group of aggressive youths who invaded a forum where several leaders, including governors Jonathan Bii of Uasin Gishu, Wisley Rotich of Elgeyo Marakwet, Simon Kachapin of West Pokot, and MPs Didimus Barasa of Kilili, Eric Wamumbi of Mathira, and Joseph Wainaina (elected MP), were gathered.
In a video watched by TUKO.co.ke, the seats were thrown with fists and kicks witnessed when supporters of the two MPs started a dispute.
Officials from the Moi's Bridge police station at the scene were forced to intervene, but they were temporarily overwhelmed by a large number of civilians who were fighting.
What did Oscar Sudi say about Moi's Bridge chaos?
Speaking after the situation settled, Sudi blamed local leaders for allegedly paying hooligans to disrupt the event.
The MP warned some unknown people about using young people to develop divisive politics.
“I'm shocked. Instead of giving young people money to start a business, we give them money to fight and disrupt events. Let's stop these old politics. We agreed as leaders of Uasin Gishu County that we would help all residents when they needed help.
“I'm not poor. I have a lot of money. I can pay them all here two thousand each. Sudi said.
