Muturi went to pay his respects to two sequence men who had disappeared since December 16, 2024. Their bodies were discovered yesterday, and their death intensified talks about the traumatic nature of the kidnapping in the country.

Muturi accompanied by left families, and joined the delegation of opposition leaders, including Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo.

During his visit, Muturi participated in discussions with human rights activists, including Houghton Irungu, CEO of Amnesty International Kenya.

Muturi criticized the government about kidnapping

In recent weeks, CS Muturi has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the government's response to the increased kidnapping cases.

His criticism is especially sad considering his personal experience since June 2024, when his son Leslie Muturi, was kidnapped in the Lavington, Nairobi region.

Addressing reporters earlier this month, Muturi complained about the abuse of kidnapping, citing the need for open discussions about Kenya's security deterioration.

Who are the two men of the sequence found dead?

The sad discovery of sequence men's bodies has exacerbated public crying. The two men, known as Justus Survey and Martin Mwau, reportedly disappeared on December 16, 2024.

Their families were in pain, looking for answers from security agencies and holding hopes for their safe return.

According to a police statement, the slave body was taken to the mortuary on December 18, 2024, just two days after the report was reported.

The circumstances of their deaths have not yet been identified, with the families demanding a thorough investigation be conducted so that the perpetrators can be brought to court.

IG Police Director, DCI Kortini about kidnapping

On the same day the bodies were discovered, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) Mohamed Amin came to court to answer questions about the disappearance of the people.

Through their attorney they told Judge Chacha Mwita that a report of the three disappeared youths was presented at the Athi River police station.

However, both officers denied that the three men, Justus Mujuru, Martin Mwau, and Clerk Muema, were under police protection.

They informed the court that an investigation into their disappearance was ongoing but did not provide any information about the people.

Kaja confirmed that the police did not arrest or detain the missing people.
