- A few months ago, it was hard to imagine a famous car businessman Khalif Kairo requesting donations online
- That has changed since its return to the law by failing to submit customer vehicles
- Cairo has now published the payment bill and urges Kenyans to contribute
Nairobi businessman Khalif Kairo urges Kenyans to contribute financially while facing a series of fraudulent allegations.
Cairo, the owner of Kai and Karo, has been visiting police stations for months after being faced with financial challenges.
Why is Cairo facing the hand of the law
The prominent businessman allegedly received money from different customers but failed to submit their vehicles.
Through a post on Facebook, Cairo revealed that he was arrested again yesterday after attending the mention of his case in the Mountains Court.
He said that he was detained all night at the Parklands police station in connection with a separate case and is currently awaiting the mountain court.
Commenting on his legal problems, Cairo complained that these cases had adversely affected his business activities.
“We have done everything we can to resolve these issues peacefully and make sure we do the distribution of cars, but bad news in the media and the constant interference with the police is making us increasingly sinking,” He said.
“All our offices are currently closed.”
Why does Cairo want Kenyans to contribute?
Kairo emphasized that he has a good record of more than 10 years in the automotive sector without any crime case before.
He also revealed that his money -raising campaign through Wefunder, which had crossed $ 100,000, was abruptly suspended due to his legal challenges.
Despite these challenges, Cairo is still optimistic and has asked his friends, fans and followers to help him with financial contribution to the fight against what he called “dark powers” that undermine his company.
He explained that the contributions would not be an investment but an emergency assistance so that his business could wake up again.
In addition, Cairo promised to report the use of the funds as soon as the situation was stabilized.
As his case progresses, his supporters and critics will be closely monitoring how Kenyans will respond to his request.
