Nairobi: Renowned Real Estate Connie Muuru has faced organizers of a large divorce banquet held in Nairobi on January 25.
Why did Kenyans enjoy the divorce ceremony?
A club in Runda Street announced an incident that brought together divorced, with the aim of fighting the stigma that hit them in the community.
The club's leadership, in an interview with TUKO.co.ke, said that many people are challenging their marriage because of the shame associated with divorce.
The ceremony led to a mixed feeling on social networks, with some saying they would like to attend in hopes of finding new peers.
“How can I celebrate divorce? How can I accept it? What will I teach my children and future generations as a veteran woman in society?” Connie asked.
“I have gone through a divorce three times but I do not want to support something like this, considering how I am struggling. I cannot celebrate the divorce, because I loved marriage so much, which is why I tried three times good,” he added.
Why did Connie oppose the divorce ceremony?
According to Connie, the fact that her marriages are unsuccessful does not mean that no marriage is successful or will continue to succeed.
“I have children and grandchildren who I believe will have permanent marriages and good families. Otherwise, divorce is not a success at all,” he added.
“Life to be alone is not easy and not a cup of porridge. Sometimes we sleep as sick, not knowing if we will see it tomorrow alive. The only thing we can do is leave the doors of our rooms open, if we die in there; that,“He added.
Connie's views were also reported by a famous blogger of NigeriaLinda Ikeji, on her Facebook page.
People responded to Connie's comments:
Make Gladys:
“It can be a success for those who come out of serious marriages … it feels like a prisoner who has finally gained freedom … since we don't know what people are going through in their marriage. You can't judge their feelings after a divorce … remember the person you marry is not the same person You are divorced.
Mary Anthony:
“I was married at 21, separated from 26 years. Wueh 3 years later let me stay, I would be close to this ceremony I would not miss.”
I do not like to be carried:
“🤣😂😂😂 No one has ever died for being single, people die from stress in those marriages. If it doesn't work, just stop and be single and enjoy life than to stay with someone who can even kill you.Oh. “
Nanis Kathambi Kathambi:
“What's the best to celebrate in divorce 🤔 😕. “
Margaret Wambui:
“I shut the door and sleep in quite peace because the man left but Jesus is always with me. I will never be able to help myself and what I cannot control. When God knows when and how, so there is no fear even to celebrate, those who are notion should also enjoy it.”
Josephine Gakii:
“Dress code let's organize …. Zey Zeynah Kinoti what status …”
