Ferdinand Omanyala epitomizes speed and power given his burly frame plus quick feet and when it comes to cars, he has stayed true to this with luxury automobiles valued at Ksh43 million.
Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala may still be looking for a major championship medal but he is already living the dream.
Omanyala is among the top sprinters on the continent and that has brought him not just fame but also boosted his bank balance.
Omanyala’s standing has enabled him to sign major brand endorsement deals and with it, he is able to afford some of the luxury things in life, including cars.
During a recent interview with Nation, Omanyala gave a sneak peek into some of the luxury brands of cars that he drives, whose total value is a staggering Ksh43 million.
A look into the Ksh43 million car collection
Toyota Prado Adventure Plus J250
Omanyala was first spotted in a stunning new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Adventure Plus J250 last November valued at a jaw-dropping Ksh23 million.
“Taking power and style to the next level with the New Land Cruiser Prado Adventure Plus,” he wrote on social media at the time.
He later made it clear that he had not purchased the car but it was from his sponsor Toyota who he works with as a brand ambassador.
Mercedes E-Class
There is also a German machine in the sprinter’s garage as he is the proud owner of a Mercedes E-Class whose value is Ksh8.4 million.
It is not clear if the car is from any of his sponsors, past or present, but the sprinter enjoys the luxury and comfort that the German model brings thanks to his talent and hard work.
Toyota Harrier
Omanyala also cruises in a Toyota Harrier, valued at Ksh5 million, which was gifted to him by gaming firm Odibets in 2021.
Odibets was the first company to give Omanyala an endorsement deal, taking a chance on him even before he turned into an international star, and besides a cash boost, they also gifted him the luxury car.
The car has registration numbers 977 which was a tribute to his African and national record of 9.77 that he set that year.
“Actually, the Toyota Harrier is dear to me. It was my dream car and will remain something that I treasure and can never release to anyone. I really love it,” said Omanyala.
Toyota Hilux Double Cabin
As part of his endorsement deal with Toyota, Omanyala is the official brand ambassador for Toyota Hilux Double Cabin and he has two such cars in his garage with a combined value of Ksh6.5 million.
Omanyala signed a deal with CFAO Motors Kenya Limited (formerly Toyota Kenya) in December 2023 and the Hilux Double Cabin was the car he was given to market, something he has been doing to great effect since.
