The death of 44-year-old Beth Muthoni Watuku has taken a new look after a person witnessed her last events at the Gatundu shrine where she had gone to fast and pray.
The mother of two was found dead in the Kimunyu caves a week ago, leaving her family with questions about how she met her sudden death.
A man who claims to have seen him alive shortly before he disappeared in the caves has come forward to tell the police and journalists what happened.
“I saw the lady here the day she disappeared, she was with a man, you can even confirm this with this mother because we saw them. She (Beth) had a purse while the man had nothing. his hands,” he said in a video shared by Kikuyu Nation TV.
According to the witness, they shouted a little before each went their separate ways for private prayers.
“At five o'clock in the evening, I climbed to the top of this cave with this lady. That's when we saw them (Beth and the man) enter the cave and go down. However, less than five minutes later, we saw them again change direction and go up the mountain.” he added.

The witness indicated that the man asked the lady to turn behind the caves.
“About three minutes later, I saw the man come back alone. He had a woman's purse in his hand,” he said.
The witness noted that the man received a mysterious phone call from someone.
“The person on the other side of the line was asking the man to go fix something in the church, but he replied that he has a woman's purse that he is looking after, you officers try to use the communication companies to see who he spoke to. to,” he added.
The man said this was the last time he saw the woman alive.
