A woman in Kenya is thinking of interrupting her family after her mother cursed her for not spending money.
Magdaline (not her real name) shared her story on Facebook, explaining the challenges she has faced since she was 18.
The mother of one child explained that she had a challenging marriage and struggled to manage herself without the help of her mother until she reached financial and emotional stability.
Her suffering began when she was married in a family where her mother -in -law tortured her even after giving birth to her baby.
According to Magdaline, her adoptive mother insisted that she remain married despite her torture because her husband's family had so much possessions.
“I made a mistake and got married when I was very young, I was only 18. I go through, ” He said.
How a Kiambu woman came out of a poisonous marriage
The young woman reported that she started working in the city ThikaKiambu County, and saved enough money to rent one room.
He explained that he was ready to leave the marriage, and his in -laws drove him and his son.
“When my baby started to be a little older, I started working at the hotel. There is not a single hotel Thika town that I didn't work. After saving money, I left the marriage – or suppose I was fired. But thank God I was able to rent one room for me and my baby , ” He remembered.

During the work of laborer, the mother of one child met a man who sponsored her diploma in community funds.
However, he realized that attending lessons and working would prevent her child's care directly.
So, he asked his mother to help her until she finished her studies, but she rejected her and her son, saying the boy was eating too much and should be sent back to his father.
“I went to look for Tibs as a cleaner and I met an old man. We exchanged phone numbers, and he promised to fund my studies.
“I realized that going to the classroom would bring suffering to my son, so I took him to my mother, but he refused to take care of him, claiming he was eating too much and insisting that I could bring him back to his father,” He narrated.
Striving between jobs and subjects
The hardworking woman explained that she worked at night and attended lessons in the afternoon until she finished her studies.
He noted that every time he asked his mother to financial help, even KSh 500, he insulted him and criticized him for leaving a family of wealthy.
“Whenever I asked my mother to help even KSh 500, she insulted me, saying I left a rich family. I went through suffering, but by 2020, I started to be a little strong. He said.
Because his whole family turned to him, Magdaline never returned home.
However, after hearing that he started his own business, the mother of one child said her mother reached her in 2024 asking for money.
According to her, the mother asked for money up to three times a week, and when she rejected her request, she cursed her, saying she was an ungrateful person and that she carried her for nine months in her womb.
“It has been five years since I returned home last time. Since last year, my mother has continued to summon me money – three times a week. She heard from others that I now have a business.
“The same child who rejected him is now 11 years old and is in Grade 6. He explained.
Magdaline noted that she loves her family but feels the need to stay away from them.
In addition, her sisters also stopped contacting her claiming she did not help them despite being married.
