A family in Musiri village, Vihiga county is worried after their daughter Shazine Oside disappeared from school two weeks after she arrived at school.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Caleb Oside, the girl's father, said that Shazine reported to St Clares Maragoli Girls High School in Mbale on January 7, 2025.

He said he received information from the school that the last time the girl was seen inside the school was January 15, 2025.

In addition, the grieving father confirmed that the school management did not send the Form Two student home, adding that he disappeared.
“He wasn't sent home. He just disappeared from school,” he said.
He added that the teachers reported the matter to the police station but have not yet told the family how the girl managed to leave the school without being detected.
“The management of the school reported his disappearance to the Mbale Police Station, but they have not yet told us how he escaped from the school,” said the father.
The 14-year-old girl was last seen wearing her school uniform (maroon skirt, sweater and white shirt).
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the girl's mother demanded that the school provide information on her daughter's whereabouts.
“I also want to know how my daughter disappeared because I entrusted her with the school, so they should tell me where she is,” he said.
The family has asked the public to help them find their daughter and bring her home.
