TV journalist Lulu Hassan explained how she met Rashid Abdalla in an interview with bloggers.

He revealed that they met when he was mourning the death of his mother. He also shared how they developed a good friendship that turned into romance.

Lulu also surprised her followers by revealing that they have been married for many years.

In his words:

“Rashid came into my life when I was going through a difficult period. I had just lost my mother. I had just come to Nairobi to look for a job; I was a receptionist, by the way, in Kilimani. I had left my job as a presenter at Radio Salaam and Rashid got a job there I returned to Radio Salaam. He came as a friend when you were grieving. That's how I saw Rashid, who I didn't have in my family. things changed. Love grew, and now we have three children, and it's been 15 years now.”
