Ruiru: Bodaboda Hit by Dafrao and Train Struggling to Cross the Rail

A fatal accident occurred in Ruiru Town on Saturday when a bodaboda driver lost his life after being hit by a train.

The bodaboda tried to cross the railway tracks, but his motorcycle got stuck on the tracks as the oncoming train approached.

How the bodaboda found itself on the railway

Witnesses reported that the rider crossed despite the imminent danger, hoping to reach the other side in time.

For luck Unfortunately, the train hit the motorcycle, throwing the rider aside. The motorcycle was badly damaged, and the impact caused a fire.

A horrifying video from the scene showed citizens running to put out the fire that was burning the motorcycle before moving the rider's body to the side of the railway.

The heartbreaking images have sparked a wave of emotion on social media, with many questioning why the rider risked his life in such a dangerous way.

Local authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, and the investigation continues to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Social media users have called for more awareness and caution among bodaboda drivers, asking them to prioritize safety when crossing railway tracks.

The bodaboda driver was allegedly shot by the police

Meanwhile, a bodaboda driver in Nakuru county was allegedly shot by a police officer who was transporting him to the station.

Felix Lung'aya said he asked to stop for a while at his house during the trip, which he claims the officer allowed but later shot him.

Bodaboda drivers in the area have raised complaints about being harassed by police officers but they claim nothing has been done.

Other incidents of train accidents in East Africa
