Bungoma – Member of Parliament for West Webuye Constituency Dan Wanyama has called for the President William Ruto stop depending on the Mt Kenya area before the 2027 General Election.

Can William Ruto win 2027 and Mount Kenya region?

Speaking in Bungoma on Sunday, January 19, Wanyama urged the president to focus on Western Kenya following the rise of rebellion in Mount Kenya led by the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Member of Parliament said that Ruto is guaranteed to lead for a second term in 2027 with the support of Western Kenya.

Wanyama claims that the recent alliance between Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) and Ruto's UDA aims to educate the greater Mt Kenya region about what he calls progressive justice.

“The mountain has slipped, it will continue to slide forever, and we are here with a strong mountain. And I pray for my elders who are in front of us, that what Musalia Mudavadi did will be the downfall of these people. If we all unite in one place, I tell them we will separate them and it will be us against them, and I have no fear in saying this because it is enough.” Wanyamma said before the president.

At the same time, Wanyama criticized the former president Uhuru Kenyatta by urging Gen Zs to continue their revolutionary movement.

According to Wanyama, Uhuru's remarks were aimed at humiliating the administration of Kenya First.

Wanyama asked the former leader of the country to allow Ruto to rule the country without interference from anyone.

“This country has more than forty-two tribes, but we will not allow one tribe to think that they have the right to be born in the White House, if they enter the White House, we give them peace to finish their term, but if another enters the White House. the tribes enter there, their job is to disrupt even if things are going well, the former President did his job and finished his term, it cannot be business as usual, stay at home and watch things develop.” he said confidently.

Will Mount Kenya help William Ruto in 2027?

At the same time, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua vowed to ensure that President Ruto will not be re-elected in 2027.

During the Church Service at PCEA Emmanuel Matanya, Waguthiru Parish, East Laikipia Constituency, Laikipia County, on Sunday, January 19, Gachagua accused Ruto of betraying Mt Kenya.

The former vice president said in 2027 he will lead the region to form a government with political leaders who respect the region.

Gachagua said the area has numerical strength. It just needs to stay united and make sure it has the right friends before the 2027 General Election.
