Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge has confirmed which race he will be featuring in next and it is a scene where he has dominated in the past.
Eliud Kipchoge has been confirmed for the London Marathon, ending speculation over his next race.
The marathon legend had left fans guessing his next move after his poor 2024 season, when he finished 10th in Tokyo and dropped out of his Olympics marathon race, but he has opted to return to a scene of some of his most impressive moments.
London Marathon will offer Kipchoge some ‘home comforts’ as he has won four times in the English capital having run there on five occasions.

Kenyan marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge has enumerated what he considers his best-ever achievement and it is not Olympics gold or his two world records.
Will he be sixth-time lucky? Well, that answer will only be known on April 27 but the marathon GOAT will be up against formidable opponents.
Kipchoge will face off with defending champion Alexander Munyao Mutiso and Sebastian Sawe, both from Kenya, Ethiopia’s Tamirat Tola, the Olympics champion, and Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo, who will be making his marathon debut in London.
However, the Kenyan legend is unfazed and is looking forward to making more great memories in London.
“I am excited to share that my next race will be the TCS London Marathon. It is a race that holds a very special place in my heart, filled with so many beautiful memories, and I am eager to create even more,” said Kipchoge.
“Let us celebrate the joy of running and the collective spirit of thousands of runners coming together at the start line. It’s a privilege to share this journey with everyone else who will be taking part as we push ourselves to deliver our best performances.
“After a good period of rest, I have returned to training with renewed energy and focus. I feel refueled to give my very best in London.”
The two-time Olympics champion won in London in 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019, managing eighth in 2020, and he will be looking for a triumphant return in 2025 on his sixth appearance.
