Haaland has committed his future to the club after enjoying success during his time in English football.
Erling Haaland has signed a mindboggling nine-year contract at Manchester City in one of the largest deals in football history, Daily Mail has confirmed.
The new deal will see an uplift in the Norwegian’s £400,000-a-week wages while two release clauses in his previous deal have not been re-inserted. The 24-year-old insisted that he wants to create a legacy at the Etihad Stadium and the Premier League is the best platform to showcase that.
“I’m super happy, proud. ‘I’m looking forward to staying here for a long time. Now I can fully focus on getting better because I am going to stay here for such a long time. Full focus on performing and getting better to give all of the fans what they want,” he said.

Haaland said opting to stay was an easy decision for him after wide consultations. “Speaking with the people I spoke with, the hunger and the support that I have been getting for the last couple of years from the board, from the bosses and from Pep (Guardiola), it was an easy decision.”

Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 matches and his imperious form has enabled the burley forward to win two consecutive Golden Boots and setting a Premier League record.
Haaland had set his eyes on moving to Spain by joining Real Madrid in future but that seems to be off completely because Haaland will be 34 by the time his contract expires, way above past his peak.
