According to him, the officer agreed but shot him on his way home.

“I put my motorcycle on the side of the road and headed to my house. When I got half way, I was shot but I managed to drag myself to the banana plantation,” he demanded.

His wife, Rehema Oluoch, said that the 38-year-old man allegedly dragged himself to her house after a while and fell beside her.

“He arrived and fell on the bed, saying he had been shot. I ran and called our neighbors, who arrived quickly, and we took him to the hospital,” he explained.

Local boda boda operators have been complaining about cases of abuse from police officers but they say no action has been taken.

“This is not the first time, the police have repeatedly harassed us. Last year in November, a boda boda operator was shot, and the case has not been followed up to this day,” another operator revealed.
