Why CHAN 2024 has been postponed

CAF cited the lack of infrastructure as the reason for the postponement. Concerns were already rife that Kenya in particular was lagging behind without a ready playing field.

“I am confident that the stadiums, training grounds, hotels, hospitals and infrastructure and other facilities will be at the levels required by CAF to host, in August 2025, the All-Africa Energy Championship,” said CAF President Patrice Motsepe.
