A mother from Kisii has painfully opened up about a recent incident where her neighbor punched her hard while she was carrying her child.

A video circulating on the internet recorded a sad incident where Faith Kathambi, a 34-year-old mother, was brutally attacked by neighbors.

The viral footage shows Kathambi, carrying her son in her arms, being escorted violently by angry male neighbors who accused her of stealing a packet of flour.

When he arrived at the neighbor's house, he was kicked and slapped while the child in his arms cried in fear.

The video went viral on January 4, 2025, and the attack left Faith in severe emotional and physical pain.

“He beat me very badly. He had a stick that he used to hurt my head,” Kathambi who was scared told Citizen TV.

The Kathambi family speaks

According to Kathambi's family, the neighbors invaded their compound and demanded to see Kathambi, claiming that he had stolen a packet of flour from them.

“I feel a lot of pain for what they did to him. They treated him with contempt because they saw that he was weak. I hope the good Samaritans will help him,” his mother said.

The family said they live in squalor, a situation that makes them victims of such attacks from neighbors.

Police officials have already launched a manhunt for the main suspect, adding that he will face the law properly.
