The girl by the name of Beryl Chemtai is reported to have left her relative's house in the Four Mile area, Eldoret, on Saturday, January 11, around 3:30 in the morning, wearing a blue skirt and a white blouse.

Beryl's father, Gilbert Chepkwony, told TUKO.co.ke that he called her teacher before his daughter left, to inform her that she was on her way to school.

Since it was the weekend, the teacher admitted that he was not in the school premises but promised to check on him when he returned to work.

“I didn't call on Sunday because I knew it was still the weekend, so I waited until Monday morning,” he said.

The teacher informed the worried father that Beryl was at school but was taking an exam, so he could not speak to her immediately.

How Beryl disappeared

Once the test was over, the teacher informed Gilbert that the Beryl he thought had arrived at school was a Form Three student, not his daughter.

Despite efforts to search every part of the school, it was found that the 14-year-old girl never arrived at the school as expected.

“We filed a report with the police and have been working closely with the school administration to find him. We ask that anyone with information let us know.” Gilbert called out.

His family is deeply concerned for his safety and is asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to report to the nearest police station or contact Gilbert Chepkwony on 0735670367 or 0723816769.
