‘Noah would beat alot who think he’s nobody!’

Lyles openly expressed a desire to be part of Team USA’s 4 by 400m side for the Paris Olympics but was unable to take part, but Hall has explained why the reigning 100m Olympic champion deserves a sport in the team for the future.

Reigning Olympic 400m champion Quincy Hall has thrown his support behind Noah Lyles, asserting that the three-time Olympic medalist has the credentials to excel in Team USA’s 4x400m relay team in future.

Speaking candidly about the sprinter’s potential, Hall dismissed doubts surrounding Lyles’ capability to transition from the shorter sprints to the demanding 400m event.

“We got a conversation with Lyles, and we have something lined up, alongside someone else as well,” Hall revealed on NightCap, hinting at a potential collaboration later this season ahead of the upcoming World Athletics Championships in Tokyo next September.

Hall, the new Olympic 400m champion, has explained why he is wary of the potential threat posed by Noah Lyles who is haboring ambitions of competing in the event.

Despite his absence from the relays at the Paris Olympics due to COVID-19, Lyles has proven his mettle on the track. In Paris, he secured gold in the 100m and bronze in the 200m, underscoring his dominance in the shorter sprints. Hall, however, believes Lyles is more than capable of translating his speed to the 4x400m relay.

“You saw Tebogo running the 4×400. I think a healthy Noah will run sub-44. This man runs 19 seconds. For him to run through the first 200 in 21 flat, it is going to be nothing to this man,” Hall explained, emphasizing Lyles’ explosive start and unmatched endurance.

Hall elaborated on the science behind his argument, saying, “I know track. I know the energy system and I know the science behind this… Noah is gonna run an open 400 right now and beat a lot of people who think he is not nobody.”

Lyles, who has often drawn criticism for his confidence and bold proclamations, has consistently silenced his detractors with his performances. Hall acknowledged the skepticism but urged others not to underestimate Lyles’ ability to deliver when it counts.

Letsile Tebogo reveals blunder that made Botswana lose gold to Rai Benjamin-anchored USA in 4x400m final

Tebogo has admitted to the strategic gamble he made in the final of the 4 by 400m relay that counted against Botswana in the end as the USA ended up clinching the medal.

“He is not in the conversation for one of the fastest men ever to run in the world for no reason,” Hall said.

The Paris Olympics saw Team USA narrowly edge out Botswana in a thrilling 4x400m final. Rai Benjamin, the U.S. anchor, held off Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo in a nail-biting finish to secure gold with an Olympic record time of 2:54.43.

Tebogo, the reigning 200m champion, led Botswana to silver with a new African record of 2:54.53, while Great Britain claimed bronze in a European record time of 2:55.83.

Quincy Hall opens up on candid conversation with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone over her 'ever-serious' demeanour

Hall, who won gold in the 400 meters of the Paris 2024 Olympics, has opened up on a conversation he had with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone over why the legendary 400-meter hurdler potrays never seems ‘cheered up’ and why she can also dominate the 400m flat.

Hall’s faith in Lyles stems from his belief that the sprinter could replicate such heroic performances in future relays. Lyles has expressed his desire to compete in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays at the Tokyo World Championships, a move Hall wholeheartedly supports.

“Noah is a dawg,” Hall concluded, reiterating his confidence in Lyles’ ability to shine in the 4x400m. “When it gets to the first 200 meters, Noah is a Dawg.”

With Tokyo on the horizon, the conversation around Lyles’ inclusion in the 4x400m relay intensifies. If Hall’s predictions hold true, Team USA could have a formidable weapon in their quest for further dominance on the world stage.
